tired....

I am completely wasted right now; but it was worth it! The Cirque du Soleil show was unbelievable, and everyone enjoyed it. My favorites were the two girls that mirrored each other on the trapeze, and the 4 trapeze artists later in the show. The moves each did just showed such precision, and complete trust in everyone in the act, and it was breathtaking to watch them!

After the show, the five of us stayed in State College long enough to sit down and eat (and talk of course), so it was quite late by the time we left. I slept most of the way home (Thank you Seamus!), but I'm still super tired today. And, since I start my new work schedule tomorrow, and classes on Monday, I'm going to continue to be tired for a little while .

Anyhow, it's been a while since I did a jukebox entry, so my song of the day is:

Artist: Jem (from Wales I believe)
Song: It's just a ride

Life, it's ever so strange
It's so full of change
Think that you've worked it out
then BANG
Right out of the blue
Something happens to you
To throw you off course
and then you

Breakdown
Yeah you breakdown
Well don't you breakdown
Listen to me
Because

It's just a ride, it's just a ride
no need to run, no need to hide
It'll take you round and round
Sometimes you're up
sometimes you're down
It's just a ride, it's just a ride
don't be scared
don't hide your eyes
It may feel so real inside
but don't forget it's just a ride

Truth, we don't wanna hear
Its too much to take
Don't like to feel out of control
So we make our plans
Ten times a day
And when they don't go
our way we

Breakdown
Yeah we breakdown
Well don't you breakdown
Listen to me
Because

It's just a ride, it's just a ride
no need to run, no need to hide
It'll take you round and round
Sometimes you're up
sometimes you're down
It's just a ride, it's just a ride
don't be scared
don't hide your eyes
It may feel so real inside
but don't forget its just a ride

Slowly, oh so very slowly
accept that
there's no getting off
So live it, just gotta go with it
cause this rides, never gonna stop

Breakdown
Don't you breakdown
No need to breakdown
No need at all
Because

It's just a ride, it's just a ride
no need to run, no need to hide
It'll take you all around
Sometimes you're up
sometimes you're down
It's just a ride, it's just a ride
don't be scared now
dry your eyes
It may feel so real inside
but don't forget enjoy the ride!

clean house YAY

So, we have a very clean house now. Since I've going to be gone for most of the week the next three months, I wanted to make sure the house got a thorough cleaning before classes start. Plus, I've been promising photos to my folks, and now I have a clean house to take them in. Seamus and I have switched computer desks for a while - he deals with cold much better than I do, so I'll have my computer upstairs and his will be downstairs. This means that when I'm working on my photography, I'll be able to stay warm and since I have room on his desk for my sewing machine, it also means that I can sew in comfort as well, and I'll still also be able to watch TV while doing so.

In health news, I seem to be back on a down swing with my weight, and I'm seeing a new endocrinologist, who is already making some changes. Plus, I'm going to be starting meridia, which will hopefully help as well.

Life is busy still on all fronts. We went to many events recently, including the ren faire, the highland games, mt. craft days, and Friday we're going to see Cirque du Soleil, which should be fun! On Sunday I start my new schedule, but I get overtime on Saturday before that happens. And, we should be having our gaming group night on Saturday as well, which is a lot of fun. With a mage tabletop also starting up soon, and a Halloween celebration planned, plus Seamus's plans to have a "still here" (ie. an entire year plus without a move!) party in November or so, Thanksgiving dinner, and the winter solstice holidays, life is going to be very hectic!

Kitties are doing fine; they were just to the vet, and chief is still losing weight, with only a little bit left to go. Millie is having the same issues I am though, she's gained more than a lb, so we're trying some new stuff with her for now.

Class-wise, I got "A's" in both classes last term, which was not the norm, and which is a good sign for the future. I am having some problems with my schedule though - it keeps getting switched around because of class drops - which makes sense since I'm looking for 8 AM classes.

Anyway, I plan to update my Flickr a bit tonight (my Photos), and will be doing so for a little while, especially since I pulled my high school photos out of hiding, and there may be some in there worth doing something with as well. So, if you get the chance, take a peek around!

and the hectic life continues!

I have two more weeks of classes left this quarter, and then time for a new schedule. I think I'll be in class M-Th, but am not 100% positive yet, since I got my new position (and a 5.4% increase) effective October, and thus need to change my schedule slightly for classes. I'm going to be a bit lacking in sleep next quarter still, but I'll have weekends again for the first time in 2 years! This coming week is going to be a busy one - Ren Faire, Mt. Craft Days, and the Highland Games are all this week, as is one project due on Friday, so don't expect much from me for the week :-)
