GeoCache time!

So, I was introduced to a new hobby, geocaching, which so far has been a lot of fun. I have to say, finding some of the boxes has been a blast, but I have very little patience with people who think they are being clever to mislabel the size of their container. If a container is a nano, just say so. Don't get cute, and say it's just a micro, and leave people wondering where the box is. There's large difference between a nano and a normal micro, and the space requirements that you focus on while looking for a micro are very different than a nano's are. Don't say "Think tiny" in your hint either; just come right out and say nano. I promise, we'll still respect you in the morning, and we'll appreciate your honesty. To everyone that does give honest hints, nice job! You are what makes this game fun :-)

trip, and bread machine

So we've taken our trip to Atlanta, and the aquarium was worth it!!! The whale sharks were wonderful to behold, and there are also manta rays in the same tank, plus the rest of the aquarium was also very nice indeed! We also went to the zoo and to Stone Mountain, and both were also very nice. I actually went on the first level of their ropes course, which since it's 10 ft off the ground, and I'm afraid of heights, was a really big deal for me (hubby of course went on all three levels). The mountain itself was impressive to see, particularly from the gondola, though I wish it hadn't been carved into. The view from the top was nice, though I wish there had been less humidity for a better view.

A couple of days after we got back, hubby got a bread machine for me I've wanted one for years, but we never had the space before. We're trying it out right now, and the cheese bread I choose as the first test subject smells wonderful! This is also the easiest baking I've ever done :-)

Whale Sharks!!!!

We're going to Atlanta soon to see the whale sharks. I can't wait; this is a trip I've wanted to take for a very long time now! Now I just need to convince myself to keep doing my work as normal until it's trip time!

Otherwise, life is normal. Hubby has had a couple of changes at his place that are making his life interesting. His job lost 2 people, and they are figuring out how to replace them. In the meantime, he's pitching in a lot to help out. My job has hired a couple more supervisors and they are training, so I've getting a bit of a break and starting to get back to a normal routine vs. the high stress one I've been on for so long. I'm also looking forward to the holidays this year, have some fun planned out!

OK, back to my normally scheduled brain again :-)

I hate sore throats!

So I've been sick for the past week, and am only now starting to return to normal, thanks to the doctor giving me a prescription. This weekend I am once again filled with the hope and desire of getting caught up to where I should be. We'll see if it works any better this time than it has in the past :P

I'm getting somewhere...

I'm finally getting somewhere again!!! My work has been caught up to date and I pretty much only need to deal with the stuff that comes in each day rather than having a back log to deal with from months ago. And my home life is getting to that point finally too. I have a huge to-do list still, but I go through more stuff this weekend than I would have though possible if I had been asked 2 weeks ago. I'm not caught up yet, but I feel like I can be with very little effort. Finally!!! :-)

Is it Friday yet...?

So we are down another manager at work, and I'm feeling wiped. I have gotten all of the emails in my work inbox taken care of every day this week, but my personal box has exploded and I'm not sure when I'll be able to fix that. My to-do list has also not been touched for a while, and my photography is backed up big time. My wish is that by tomorrow night I'll be able to get this situation at least improved if not completed.

tired

Today I'm rather tired, but on the plus side I've gotten some stuff done around the house finally. I'm also getting caught up at work to the point where I soon may have only my normal work to do; at least for a few weeks. Honestly, right now that would be kind of nice. By the end of this week, I should be in the sweet spot of having all of the projects I've been working on done!
