So much for weekly postings...

Surprisingly enough, not a great deal has happened since January; maybe that's why I haven't posted. I've been keeping busy with work and trying to avoid the cold and snow, as well as generally getting stuff taken care of at home. We did have a friend come to visit us for a weekend from the Philly area a couple of months back, which was really nice. After that though I got into an argument with my card company, and spent about 1-2 weeks figuring out how to get rid of that card in the best possible way. That may be happening very soon now happily! We are much closer to our goal of getting our of card debt than we have been in a long time; partially because we've both buckled down and have stopped doing pretty much anything that's fun outside of the house if it costs anything :-) We did go to DC for the cherry festival - it was surprisingly not very focused on the trees, but I can understand why when I saw the area the trees were around - it wasn't what I had expected at all. On the plus side, we got to see a couple of the museums - natural history and American history, along with the zoo (panda's!!!), the mall, and the eastern market. We also got to visit with 2 different friends on the trip, very fun! I still need to actually process the photos I took in DC, because as soon as we got back, I got sick. I ended up calling off work a couple of days, and pretty much stayed in bed for 5 days straight, which means I haven't had a chance yet to use my one recent purchase, a treadmill. My plan is to start using it on Thursday as I'll hopefully be able to breathe then finally, and then I won't need to worry about the weather, my glasses, etc. I'll be able to watch some TV shows that I haven't seen in a while since I feel like I'm wasting time if I actually watch TV, even if it's on DVD's. I'll try to blog after a couple of days to say how it's going - it can't be any worse than visiting the market, zoo, mall, and museum all in 1 day in DC was after all.....
